Bruichladdich is a single malt Scotch whisky brand produced at the Bruichladdich Distillery on the Isle of Islay. Founded in 1881, the distillery was revived in 2001 after years of closure and now operates under Rémy Cointreau ownership. Unlike many Islay distilleries, Bruichladdich is best known for producing unpeated whiskies, though it also makes the heavily peated Port Charlotte range and the extremely peated Octomore series. The distillery emphasises terroir, traceability, and the use of Scottish-grown barley, with a variety of cask types employed for maturation.
