Run by the Grant family since 1865, Glenfarclas is one of the longest-running family operations in Scotch whisky. Situated in Ballindalloch, it has built a reputation over time for traditional production methods, including the continued use of direct-fired stills. Much of its output is matured in sherry casks, and long before cask strength whiskies became common, Glenfarclas introduced its 105 expression in the late 1960s. Its extensive back-catalogue has also allowed the release of vintage bottlings under the Family Casks series.
