Cragganmore Distillery is located in Ballindalloch, Speyside, and was established in 1869 by John Smith, a former manager of Macallan and Glenlivet. The site was chosen for its proximity to the Strathspey Railway and local water sources. Now owned by Diageo, Cragganmore operates with four stills and is known for its use of flat-topped spirit stills, which are relatively uncommon and believed to influence the character of the distillate.
